What’s Ahead

We’re still in the heat of summer, but fall is just around the corner. Most people think of cooler weather, pumpkin spice (thanks, Starbucks), and football. At SEND, though, fall means nursery freight, the PNW harvest—and definitely football!

Harvest season brings a West Coast market shift: outbound rates from the PNW spike while inbound lanes finally see relief. At the same time, outbound freight from California and Arizona slows until agricultural imports from Mexico ramp up in November. For us, fall also means watching the weather more closely to avoid trouble spots and protect on-time deliveries.

If you were at the Farwest Show last week, you may have chatted with our team and chatted about the upcoming fall market shifts. Our team is ready to help you navigate those changes and secure reliable nursery freight. Reach us a nursery@sendtrans.com.
